SMA is Excited to Welcome New Faculty Members
My name is Brooke Cambus, and I am SMA's new PE teacher. This will be my 8th year teaching. I am an early childhood teacher where I spent most of my career teaching PreK-3. I completed my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction in 2019. I took this past school year off to stay home with my baby boy and it was truly a gift. He will be attending Little Crusaders in PreK-1 this year. I am happy for us to be starting this new adventure together at SMA. This will be my first year teaching PE, but I am excited for the new chapter! I am looking forward to growing with my students this year. I feel lucky to share my weeks with the whole student body! I look forward to teaching them the importance of living an active lifestyle, supporting their classmates, being confident, and most importantly, to have fun! My family and I live in Harahan, and we are excited to be more involved in our community. We feel blessed to be joining the Crusader family!
I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of New Orleans in 2013.
I taught kindergarten at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Kenner for 6 years and then taught pre-k at St. Mary Magdalen for 3 years. Last year, I also taught 5th grade religion in addition to pre-k. I also serve as a youth minister for teens and young adults for the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of New Orleans, and have done so since 2009.
I am excited to begin my journey at St. Matthew as the middle school religion teacher, and am most looking forward to seeing how the Holy Spirit will move throughout the school community this year!
I am so excited to be teaching Pre-K 4 at St. Matthew the Apostle this year! My name is Mrs. Kati, and this is my 6th year teaching in a traditional preschool classroom. I also have experience working in an ABA clinic for children with autism. I cannot wait to have a classroom filled with learning, fun and laughter.
I am excited and blessed to join the St. Matthew community. I have over 20 years financial experience in both the private and public business sectors. I’ve spent the last 10 years working in the maritime industry as the CFO of the North Americas for an international inspection company. Prior to that I worked as the CFO of a private Catholic high school and always hoped to find my way back to education. The positive and uplifting enthusiasm within a school environment is infectious and I am so happy to be part of this team of inspiring professionals! I have one son entering the 10th grade.
