Crawfish Cook-Off
The largest crawfish cook-off in Metro New Orleans!! We have 40 teams cooking crawfish for your enjoyment. The event is usually held in April and more details can be found on our website's homepage or on the Crawfish Cook-Off Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/StMatthewMensClubCrawfishCookOff
Jeff Fish Fest
A non-profit fishing rodeo for adults and kids with the goal to provide a way for kids to enjoy fishing and the outdoors. With over a hundred kids and adults fishing every year, it is recognized as one of the premier fishing events in the region. There are categories for fish caught in fresh water or salt water.
Take a Kid Fishing Day
This non-profit one-day event, located at Lafreniere Park, Shelter #6, will include Live Weigh-in competition for youth (under 10 and ages 11-17). Each age group will compete for the largest fish caught in the park for the following categories: Perch/Bream, Bass, Catfish and Misc.
